Be Recruitment, on behalf of a reputable Not-for-Profit organisation, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Therapeutic Case Worker to join their team.
About the Role: As a Therapeutic Case Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing evidence-based interventions to children, young people, and families in need. This position involves working with at-risk families referred by the Department of Communities and Justice, using a high-quality, strength-focused family counselling model. Your primary focus will be to help families address challenges, achieve their goals, and reduce the risk of harm.
In this role, you will:
* Apply a range of therapeutic approaches to address family concerns and foster positive change.
* Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to provide comprehensive support.
* Equip families with tools to strengthen their relationships.
About You: To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
* Qualifications: Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years working with families in a therapeutic setting.
* Risk Management: Ability to identify and respond to risks effectively.
* Trauma-Informed Practice: Strong understanding of trauma and its impact, integrating this knowledge into your therapeutic approach.
* Theoretical Knowledge: Expertise in strength-based approaches, attachment theory, and other relevant models when working with children and families.
* Compliance: Valid Working With Children Check and willingness to undergo a National Criminal History Check.
* Driver’s License: Full Australian driver’s licence required.
