The Role
We are seeking an experienced Inventory and Stores Coordinator to join our busy Plant team in Perth. This role involves maintaining and managing our Welshpool store facility, including inventory management, procurement coordination, and supply chain quality control.
Key Responsibilities
* Liaise with the Plant Superintendent and Maintenance Planner to ensure timely delivery of job materials, spare parts, and rotable stock items.
* Set up and maintain stock items in the Common Item master list in Maximo.
* Conduct weekly cycle counts to ensure availability and management of stocked items.
* Maintain appropriate stock levels for plant items required in the maintenance plan using min/max and reorder points.
* Update and maintain job plan material lists in Maximo.
* E nsure compliance with JHG inventory systems and procedures to maximise resource utilisation and minimise costs.
* Support delivery team/trades personnel by ensuring prompt issue of parts within the workshop and to site.
* Maintain stores area to a high standard of cleanliness.
Requirements
* Experience as a plant inventory coordinator.
* Diploma level qualification (or equivalent) in warehousing, inventory management, or similar disciplines.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a supply chain role.
* Experience with asset and/or inventory management systems in the Rail industry and across Plant & Equipment Fleet maintenance.
* Experience in stores management practices.
* Advanced knowledge of inventory data metrics and stocktake processes.
* Strong proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and preferably Maximo.
