The Role
Play a key role in supporting the Engagement team to drive revenue by supporting Mai-Wel's programs through local business engagement, fundraising, and grants/tender support. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work with a passionate team dedicated to making a positive impact in our community.
Key Aspects Of The Role
1. Developing and maintaining corporate business partnerships, sponsorships, and volunteering opportunities.
2. Driving business activity growth for the Mai-Wel Academy.
3. Strategically approaching business development opportunities, including opening new doors.
4. Managing donor and stakeholder databases and communication plans.
5. Supporting business development and engagement objectives.
6. Promoting and coordinating fundraising initiatives and events.
7. Assisting with grant applications, funded program implementation, and reporting.
8. Championing the Mai-Wel brand and expanding stakeholder awareness.
The Person
1. Experience in Business Development and/or fundraising & events.
2. Ability to grow new business and not afraid of the cold call approach.
3. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
4. Proven ability to build and foster partnerships.
5. Proficiency in project, event, or campaign management.
6. Experience with grant and/or tender administration.
7. A Diploma in Event Management, Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (desirable).
This is a hybrid role working 3 days per week. Ideally, to fit the team dynamic, we are seeking a passionate person that can work Thursday and Friday as part of the work week and flexibility on the other day to be worked.
