Your new role Our Hays Sydney office is seeking a full-time permanent internal Assistant Financial Accountant. This role commences immediately. The Assistant Financial Accountant is responsible for the reconciliation of accounts, including query resolution and statutory compliance for payroll, Workers compensation and superannuation. Reconciliations: Manage reconciliations with a primary focus on three key areas: Payroll, Workers Compensation, and Superannuation. Produce reconciliations related to Payroll, including forecasting where applicable. Review rates across the business annually and when changes occur to ensure compliance with statutory requirements. Compliance and Classification: Allocate WorkCover Industry Classifications for all eligible Australian workers. Determine workers' eligibility for Payroll Tax and Long Service Leave. Customer Service: Respond to all customer enquiries professionally and ensure excellent turnaround times. Take appropriate action to resolve customer issues promptly. Record Keeping and Process Review: Maintain accurate records and documentation. Review internal processes regularly to ensure adherence to guidelines. Audit and Compliance: Participate in UK SOX internal control processes improvement and adhere to global compliance guidelines. Collaborate with different teams to ensure compliance across all areas of the business.
