We have immediate vacancies available for experienced mechanical design engineers to be based at either, MILVEHCOE (Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence) in Redbank, or Ann St Brisbane Offices.About The RoleThe Design Engineer is responsible for the design of systems, subsystems and components of military vehicles and equipment over the product life cycle. The Design Engineer is an integral part of theEngineering Capability Matrix and will conduct work within cross functional project specific teams.As a Design Engineer, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include: Conceive and select concepts in response to Requirements using a range of tools and methods including weighted Trade Off Studies, FMECA etc.; Realise selected concepts into documented prototype designs using integrated PDM/CAD (AGILE/TEAMCENTER/NX/E3); Support manufacture and verification of prototypes and incorporate test results as appropriate; Develop, release and maintain production documentation; Participate in formal and informal Design Reviews; Provide problem solving and continuous improvement support to Production and Through Life Support; and Fulfil other duties and responsibilities that may be required as determined with your manager from time to time.
