About the role
As a Registered Nurse in our Urgent Care centre you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals with acute illnesses and injuries in a fast-paced environment. This position counsels’ patients, provides health education and where appropriate, acts as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their opinions are heard and their rights are respected.
* Responsible for Triage of all patients who present to Urgent Care
* Conduct comprehensive and accurate nursing triage
* Act promptly for any triaged patients requiring emergency escalation or due to deterioration.
* Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability for the dynamic Urgent Care environment.
* Deliver high-quality, person-centered care in collaboration with patients, families, carers, and medical practitioners.
* Ensure patients achieve desired clinical outcomes.
* Provide essential health education to patients.
* Complete all documentation accurately and promptly.

About you:
You will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient safety. Desirably you will have completed Emergency or Critical care Post Graduate Certificates and have a good understanding of National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHA) indicators align with this role. For this role you will require:
* Current Nursing Registration with Australian Health Practitioners Agency (AHPRA).
* Bachelor of Nursing
* Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in a similar setting.
* Minimum 12-month experience within an Urgent Care Centre, Emergency Department, or Critical Care unit
* Completion of First Line Emergency course with Triage competency
* BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS certification is a plus.
