About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team in Newcastle, NSW. As a key member of our Field Services team, you will be responsible for delivering projects that support the energy transition, including hydro, wind, solar, and battery storage, as well as traditional energy sectors.
You will travel to local and remote sites to perform inspections, maintenance, installations, repairs, and refurbishments on a wide range of transformers and associated equipment. Your primary objective is to deliver projects on time and within scope, with a focus on safety, quality, time, and cost.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair services on WTC equipment at client locations.
* Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and issues, providing effective solutions to restore full functionality.
* Perform regular inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
* Offer technical support and training to customers on equipment operation and best practices.
* Keep and maintain accurate records of completed work, including maintenance logs, service reports, and any required documentation.
* Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve technical challenges to enhance service delivery.
* Ensure all work complies with safety guidelines, company policies, and industry regulations.
Requirements:
* Trade background or postgraduate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
* Experience in transformer installation, repair, and maintenance.
* Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, particularly in electrical and mechanical systems.
* Proficient in interpreting technical documents, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Valid NSW driver's license and ability to pass background checks.

Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 per annum
