Birdie is a modern fast-paced rotisserie chicken shop in The Junction, Newcastle. The venue offers a dine-in, takeaway and home-delivery menu that focuses on whole birds, fresh salads, burgers and rolls in a clean and fresh space. We have an experienced and enthusiastic team, and are on the hunt to build on this. We are looking for a casual cook/chef for around 25 - 30 hours per week. If you are looking for some work-life balance, then this is the job. A combination of day & night shifts, with no splits. We close at 8pm every night so say goodbye to late nights!
Tasks & Responsibilities
* We require hardworking and passionate cooks/chefs to work alongside an experienced kitchen team, with around 25 - 30 hours per week on offer.
* You will be assisting others in the day-to-day operations of a busy kitchen such as prep & cooking.
* The role includes work on multiple facets of the kitchen including the rotisserie, larder & fryers. Experience in all sections is preferred but not essential.
About You
* The ideal candidates will have proven experience in fast-paced kitchens.
* Excellent communication skills - liaising with F&B service teams as required.
* Must be able to work weekends, nights & public holidays where applicable.
* Must have a 'can do' attitude = positive, engaged, practical and flexible.
