Central Coast Local Health District are seeking a dynamic, caring and passionate Clinical Psychologist to join our supportive Adult Mental Health Team in the Kincumber Health Centre.
The Care Coordination Team provides non-acute assessment, clinical follow up and treatment (group and individual), care planning, and case management, for clients presenting with high moderate to severe mental illness including those clients requiring treatment under the NSW Mental Health Act 2007.
The Team liaise closely with local General Practitioners and other service providers to assist clients to develop sustainable support networks and promote positive mental health outcomes. All aspects of service design and delivery are recovery oriented and therefore client-centred and collaborative, family inclusive and trauma-informed. All Psychologists employed within the CCLHD are members of the Psychology Department. The Department monitors adherence to the professional code of conduct, promotes excellence and provides opportunities for ongoing professional development.

About You
8. You have a four year degree in Psychology from a recognised tertiary institution and a Master’s Degree or higher in Clinical Psychology.
9. You hold a Psychology Board of Australia endorsement in Clinical Psychology, or eligibility to enrol as a registrar in Clinical Psychology. Other AHPRA endorsed area of clinical practice in Psychology that the employer deems relevant to the functions of the position may be considered.
10. You have a passion to support people living with a moderate to severe mental illness, provide independent clinical judgment and have a willingness to learn new skills with ongoing training available.
11. You have sound communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Where You'll Be Working
The position of Clinical Psychologist Mental Health Care Coordination Team exists within the Central Coast Local Health District Mental Health Service.
The role is based on the beautiful Central Coast at our Kincumber Health Centre, This can involve home visits to patients and may also involve working from other locations across the district. Fleet cars are available to assist with travel and a valid Australian Drivers Licence is required for the role.
