What’s the role? The Group Client Partner is a senior sales leadership role within News Corp Australia's Sales Division responsible for managing and growing key clients within the retail category. This position involves strategic supervision of sales activities, staff management, data analysis, and alignment with organisational objectives. This role is integral to driving dynamic and innovative selling solutions while leading a high-performing team and managing cross-functional stakeholders within a matrix organisation. The Group Client Partner ensures News Corp remains the preferred media partner for these high-growth clients by fostering strategic relationships and delivering comprehensive media solutions. Key Responsibilities Leading a high-performing team to consistently achieve sales targets and foster a culture of excellence and collaboration; this includes managing contractual obligations and identifying new business solutions to drive growth. Leading and motivating a diverse sales team (6 direct reports) to deliver client-centric solutions that meet the needs of large Australian retailers and navigate internal business structures to deliver these solutions. Encouraging team members to explore solutions selling methodologies, leveraging digital tools and platforms to enhance customer engagement and drive sales. Utilising a range of data sources to assess and manage the performance of team members. Using platforms and dashboards (Salesforce, Tableau) to analyse sales performance, track relationships, and manage accounts. Offering strategic recommendations based on data analysis and market insights, identifying emerging opportunities and potential risks, and guiding senior management in making informed decisions to drive business growth and profitability. Leveraging internal tools and reporting to track and manage clients under contract, assessing rates, bonuses, and inclusions based on tracking commitments. Strategically driving revenue generation through print and digital channels by identifying market opportunities, developing innovative sales strategies, and fostering strong client relationships to maximise revenue growth and meet sales targets. Positioning the company as a trusted advisor by offering comprehensive solutions that address clients' unique challenges and opportunities. Showcasing the value of integrated solutions that combine products and services to deliver tangible business outcomes. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients to become the first point of call for their business solutions and championing the company’s brands in the marketplace. Engaging clients in strategic conversations about their business objectives and challenges, demonstrating a deep understanding of their needs, and offering tailored solutions that align with their goals and priorities. Leading ongoing strategy and solution development, ensuring a client-centric approach. Providing relevant insights at key market presentations and negotiations. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive collaboration and achieve business objectives. Providing regular updates and reports to senior management on sales performance, key metrics, and strategic initiatives. Who are you? Proven track record of success in sales management roles, demonstrating the ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve targets. 7 years in sales leadership. Experience managing relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, and providing solutions to meet their objectives, resulting in high levels of client satisfaction and retention. Demonstrated experience in driving revenue growth through print and digital channels, with a strong understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and best practices. Proven track record in developing and implementing strategic sales plans aligned with organisational objectives, achieving revenue targets, identifying market opportunities, and developing innovative sales strategies to drive revenue growth. Experience in strategic account management, including identifying and prioritising key accounts, developing account plans, and executing strategies to maximise revenue and profitability.
