Clerk Grade: Departmental Officer Grade 11/12 ($145,378 - $168,130 base + super)Employment Type: 2 years temporary full time opportunityLocation: Bathurst or Sydney – hybrid working available by negotiationThis role sits within the DCS SPA Strategy and Architecture team with Spatial Services.About the teamDesign and Delivery actively works across the entire DSC Spatial Services’ project portfolio to develop business requirements and solution architecture designs for new business initiatives. Working in lockstep with the business units to successfully deliver new digital products and service capabilities. We exclusively design, build and operate our digital workloads and digital applications and systems within AWS Public Cloud.Your day-to-dayThe Solution Architect is responsible for the development of the technology solutions in AWS cloud and correlating the business requirements to systems/technical requirements to ensure they are in line with the enterprise architectural plan.Key accountabilities:Manage and maintain the enterprise reference architecture for DCS Spatial Services.Provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the evolution of the enterprise architecture and to maximize return on investment.Ensure alignment between customer expectations, business requirements and current or future ICT capabilities under management.To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:Highly adaptable and embraces change at a rapid pace.Identify system, infrastructure and project interdependencies and balance competing demands to ensure project deliverables are achieved.Ability to work independently without continuous oversight.Ability to communicate well in both the written and verbal forms.Formal tertiary qualification and/or relevant practical experience/certification within AWS Public Cloud is highly desirable.Closing Date: 09:59 am, 4 Apr 2025Careers at Department of Customer ServiceA career at the Department of Customer Service (DCS) gives you the opportunity to help improve government services and be part of reform that benefits people across NSW.
