About the roleThis role will be involved in a broad range of tasks, which include:Identifying possible problem areas and suggesting modifications or adaptations to the consultant briefs where necessary to achieve acceptance;Completing planning and design reviewsCalculating bulk quantities of component materials, reviewing geotechnical advice for materials, considering the controls needed during design, construction and maintenance and also participating in risk assessments.Supervision of early works design and construction packages to successful completion.A more comprehensive list is on the role description.Skills and experience- A four-year, Washington Accord accredited, Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalence which is assessed/accepted by Engineers Australia against Washington Accord benchmarks.- Current holder of Class C driver's licence.- Thinks critically and acts on the broader purpose of the system.- Builds and sustains relationships to enable the collaborative delivery of customer-focused outcomes.- Pursues opportunities for growth through agile learning, and development of self-awareness.- Engineering Operations: Applies professional input to the operation of engineering activities.- Applies comprehensive technical knowledge, experience and skills in Design and Construction.- Project Management: Uses project principles and methodology and works within these to achieve project outcomes.- A working knowledge of common engineering/technical Microsoft packages would be an asset.Please refer to the role description on how to apply.Applications will remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/601203/24Closing Date: Thursday, 14 November 2024This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License. #J-18808-Ljbffr
