Your Opportunity Mission Australia's North Coast psychosocial support services aid those with severe and persistent mental illness in their recovery journey. Operating within a recovery framework, the service assists individuals in achieving their goals, maintaining housing, managing finances and daily living, participating in work or training, and sustaining physical and social wellbeing.This role focuses on delivering evidence-based, targeted psychosocial supports to build resilience and psychosocial skills for young people aged 15-25 years who are presenting with psychosocial support needs.If you are passionate about making a difference and have the skills to support youth on their journey to recovery, we invite you to join our dedicated team. Your key responsibilities will be to: Create personal recovery plans with young people and their networks. Provide one-on-one and group work to young people in schools and communities. Complete timely, factual case notes in MA Connect. Conduct educational sessions for families and community groups. Help clients develop skills for harm reduction and recovery. Liaise with co-workers and external agencies for client advocacy and referrals. Conduct post-program follow-ups to gauge satisfaction and offer re-engagement. Requirements for Success: Experience working with at-risk young people using culturally safe and inclusive practices. Working knowledge of adolescent mental health issues. Knowledge of case management. Good written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work from a culturally informed and strengths-based framework. Resilience, solution-focused, and creative approach to challenges, with strong professional boundaries. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Hold a valid Drivers' Licence. Senior First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain. Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
