By closely following work instructions and interpreting drawings, while utilizing dexterity, perfected soldering and crimping skills they assemble small components for product sub-assemblies.The senior electrical assembly technician assembles electrical harnesses and sub-assemblies for integration into deep sea remotely operated vehicles and manipulator arm.
Job Description
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. 1. Perform high quality soldering on printed circuit boards and splice together 32AWG wires
2. Crimp terminals onto 32AWG wires
3. Follow Standardized Work practices.
4. Performs highly complex electrical assemblies from detailed blueprints and verbal/written instructions with minimal supervision.
5. Performs inspections of electrical assemblies to ensure it matches assembly prints and work instructions.
6. Periodically performs engineering electrical prototype builds.
7. Incorporates problem solving and process improvements into work flow.
You are meant for this job if:
8. High school diploma or equivalent.
9. Minimum of 7 years of electrical assembly experience.
10. Ability to read and understand basic process assembly drawings, bill of materials.
11. Proficient in the use of small hand tools (soldering iron, wire strippers, hand cutters, tweezers and crimpers).
12. Ability to demonstrate soldering and de-soldering techniques.
13. Possess training in IPC A-610 and IPC A620 standards or similar standards preferred.
14. Ability to work overtime.
15. Ability to problem solve and make decisions while following company policies.
16. Ability to multitask while meeting deadlines.
17. Ability to contribute to a positive work environment adhering to the company’s Principles of Integrity.
Physical Requirements
18. Regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
19. Manual dexterity using hands, fingers, and arms to push, pull, reach, grab, hold, and lift.
20. Able to View objects under a microscope for long periods of time
21. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
22. Frequent use of computer and close viewing of monitor
23. Regular, repetitive arm/hand motion (crimping, soldering, wire stripping, etc.)
24. Work on concrete floors, wearing steel toes boots up to 8-12 hours a day.
25. Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment to include but not limited to eye and hearing protection and steal toe boots.
Work Schedule and Salary Information
The Davis manufacturing team follows a 9/80 alternative work schedule. Every two-week period will consist of a 5-workday week and then a 4-workday week with Friday off. The first week would consist of four 9-hour days and one day of 8 hours. The following week would consist of four 9-hour days with Friday off. This schedule will be repeated. The workday will begin at 7:00AM and end at 4:30PM for a 9-hour day and begin at 7:00AM and end at 3:30PM for an 8-hour day.
Salary Range:
$25.00 – $35.87 - $46.63
This pay scale is intended to comply with applicable state minimum wage laws. In the event that state minimum wage provides for compensation in excess of the lower end of the range reflected herein, that lower end should automatically be read to reflect the minimum wage required by state law. If and when the Company learns of such a discrepancy, it will promptly adjust the scale to comply with state law. Under no circumstances, however, should any scale provided by the Company herein be read or interpreted to suggest that the Company intends to pay below state mandated minimum wage for this position
