Executive Services Team
This role is part of the Executive Services team, located in the Office of the Treasurer.
The team provides liaison and administrative support to the Ministerial Offices of the Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer, as well as Cabinet, Cabinet Committee, Parliamentary, and Legislative services and administrative support to the Budget Committee.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Liaison Assistant or a highly skilled Administrator with proven problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and a passion for making a difference.
Your ability to work collaboratively, both within the team and across government departments, will be critical in fostering a positive team culture and achieving our collective goals.
Key Accountabilities
* Assist the Departmental Liaison Officer (DLO) in facilitating the working relationship between the Ministerial office (MO), the department, and external stakeholders by ensuring a smooth, timely, and accurate flow of information and advice.
* Provide specialist administrative and corporate support for the Minister and the MO in relation to Cabinet, legislative, and parliamentary business, including Cabinet briefings and Parliamentary questions.
* Identify and improve administrative and communication protocols and systems between the Ministerial office, relevant public sector agencies, including those for tracking departmental responses to Ministerial requests.
About You
We are looking for candidates with demonstrable experience in:
* Demonstrated high-level skills in organizing the flow of communications in ways that maximize promptness, completeness, accuracy, and ready understanding.
* Excellent skills in networking and teamwork, in consultation, and in building and sustaining effective working relationships.
* High-level skills and ability in oral and written communication, including the ability to write and edit documents in a range of styles matched to client needs.
