This full-time role will give you the opportunity to use your background in retail merchandising, FMCG sales or procurement to make a real difference to our commercial strategy.You will also:Mentor and develop a team of commercial leaders to drive commercial excellence through the organisation.Develop strategic and analytical financial modelling to unlock business insights and opportunities across the Merchandise Buying organisation to drive profitability, efficiency and supplier value creation.Collaborate with buying, supply chain and other key stakeholders to enhance category performance.Lead trade planning negotiations in partnership with the Commercial Cost and Value team.Lead Supplier Management and Joint Business Planning workshops.Work closely with the Data Product Owner to input supplier metrics analytics into our Supplier Performance Central platform.Drive and grow supplier engagement within the Coles Supplier base.About you and your skillsYou will have:Experience in Retail and/or FMCG experience, particularly in category management, sales or supplier management.Demonstrated history of identifying commercially feasible and innovative solutions to problems.Experience in using technology, data and analytics to solve problems.Experience in leading large teams and transient consulting workforce.Strong problem-solving skills with strategic mindset, structured thinking, and approach.What’s in it for you?Flexible working options: We know that work is only one part of your life, so we actively encourage a positive work-life balance and provide hybrid working options to help you achieve it.Office perks: Take advantage of our gym facility and fitness classes, free parking, BBQ area, mini-Coles supermarket, fooderie hub where you can sample new products before they hit the shelves, school holiday program and so much more when you come in.Discounts: Eligible team members receive 5% discount all year round on your Supermarket and Liquor online and in-store purchases.
