The clinics offer a range of onsite, remote, and in-home services to clients receiving Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Dietetics and Allied Health care services.Due to exciting growth, they currently have an opportunity for passionate and driven Speech Pathologists to join their team.
In this role, you will have the choice of working on and off-site to manage your own caseload.
You will possess strong clinical skills with the ability to follow through as well as the ability to co-manage clients with different health professionals in a dynamic team environment.As a Speechy, you will be responsible for:Speech – support to speak more clearly and be understoodLanguage – support for people who may have trouble putting their ideas and thoughts into words and sentences or who may need support with reading and writingAugmentative and Alternative Communication – support using devices for people with complex communication needsSocial Skills – support to improve the understanding of the rules for social interaction and awareness of body language, facial expressions and voice tone to improve social interactionsStuttering – provide strategies to support smooth speech delivery and management of stuttering to increase confidenceVoice – provide exercises and support to optimize voice quality and develop healthy vocal habitsWorking with adults and children who have a range of conditions:Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)Down SyndromeCerebral PalsyDevelopmental delaysStammersAttention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)Intellectual disabilitiesCleft PalateVoice disordersYou will also be responsible for:Swallowing – make mealtime more enjoyable by reducing risk and increasing acceptance of different foods and texturesTaking on more clients than new gradsSeeing a greater variety of clients of all typesCompleting AT assessment and reports independentlyEffectively supervising AHA students in clinicGiving opportunity to new grads to observeBeing a buddy for new grad Speech PathsParticipating in MDT training and workshopsBuilding skills in particular clinical areasEssential Criteria:Certified Practising Member of Speech Pathology AustraliaWorking with Children CheckVictorian Police CheckAustralian driver's licenseBenefits:Flexible working hoursComplete autonomy with calendar and bookingsWorking within a state-of-the-art facility with a dedicated front-end teamWork-life balanceCommunity access: A work car is provided for travelling from a clinic to community consults.
