The role is for a financial controller position with LCP Corporate (LCP), part of the LCP Group of companies.LCP is a boutique corporate advisory firm specialising in outsourced CFO, company secretary, and IPO management services.The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of ASX listed and unlisted clients and their subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with local regulations and aligning financial practices with the policies and standards of the client company. This role involves preparing financial reports, handling tax and regulatory matters, managing cash flow, and supporting audits. The position requires strong understanding of IFRS, and the ability to coordinate effectively with stakeholders across various jurisdictions. Regular collaboration with C-Level management team and the Board of directors will be essential to ensure smooth financial operations and timely reporting.The candidate will also be the point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities.The candidate will receive a competitive salary, accounting body memberships paid for, and a company laptop. The candidate may be eligible to receive access to early-stage investments (including seed opportunities) and performance securities in LCP clients.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and deliver monthly and annual consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards.Manage quarterly ASX 5B cash flow reporting and ensure timely submission.Reconcile intercompany transactions to ensure accurate reporting and consolidation.Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, accounting standards, and other regulatory requirements.Oversee and coordinate annual and half-year audits, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors.Prepare and file payroll tax and other statutory obligations within deadlines.Support clients in developing budgets and forecasts, providing insights and analysis.Manage local banking relationships, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.Coordinate cash flow management, including monitoring and reporting cash positions.Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate payment of salaries, taxes, and benefits.Provide regular financial updates and strategic insights to support decision-making.Assisting with Company Secretary work for ASX/NSX listed entities.Qualifications and skillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.CA/CPA qualification is mandatory.5+ years of professional experience in accounting, preferably with exposure to international entities and exploration companies.Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, AASB, and financial reporting requirements.Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero and MYOB.Familiarity with exploration company compliance, including ASX-listed reporting obligations.Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders across multiple time zones.Proficiency with Microsoft software suite.Personal AttributesDetail-oriented with exceptional analytical skills.Proactive and adaptable with a solution-focused mindset.Strong organizational abilities to manage competing deadlines effectively.Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently in a remote and international setting.
