The role
We are seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Principal Advisor, specialising in providing culturally sensitive support to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce within Queensland Health. Your primary focus will be to offer expert guidance on industrial relations matters while fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity. You will play a pivotal role in driving initiatives outlined in the HWF EB2 agreement and facilitating smooth transitions during the implementation of future agreements.
You will also be managing emergent industrial matters, leading key projects, and providing crucial support in award maintenance and enterprise bargaining within Queensland Health. As part of this role, you will be instrumental in preventing disputes, navigating negotiations, and ensuring fair outcomes through conciliation and arbitration processes.
The successful person
You will have demonstrated:
1. Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities, focusing on the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce industrial relations agenda.
2. Proven track record in project management from planning to evaluation.
3. Success in providing strong advisory services to senior stakeholders on HR and industrial relations issues.
4. Skills in innovative problem-solving and generating solutions in complex, rapidly changing, and sensitive contexts.
