The position: We have an exciting opportunity for highly motivated Qualified Fire Electricians to join our Queensland Team, servicing customers throughout the Central Queensland Mining Industry. This role enjoys the lifestyle of a 7/7 even time Roster. Your duties will include: Work safely every time, every day Testing, maintaining & installing fire detection, alarm & warning systems & emergency lighting systems Reading and interpreting drawings to understand Fire Alarm & Detection systems, emergency lighting systems, control systems to fire pumps and sprinkler deluge valves. Undertake AS1851 statutory maintenance on fire systems and report any defects as required. Use your knowledge of applicable fire services and Australian Standards Identify defects on Dry Fire Systems and compilation of a report for recommended repairs. About You: You will have as a minimum: A current Worksafe QLD Electrical Mechanics licence. A current QBCC Occupational Fire Protection licence with the classes; Install & Maintain Fire Alarm Systems; Inspect & Test Emergency Lighting. A valid and unrestricted open Queensland driver's licence. Ability to troubleshoot system performance issues and fault diagnosis. Ability to undertake system isolations and sound knowledge of Fire Indicator Panels. Solid understanding of Dry Fire Services in industrial buildings and on mine sites. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and ability to deal with a range of people The ability to work autonomously with a pro-active approach to managing deadlines The following will be highly regarded: Mining experience including maintaining & installing fire alarm, detection, warning & gaseous suppression systems in Draglines, Sub-stations and Switchrooms. Programming experience with Notifier Fire Indicator Panels. Enclosure Room Integrity Testing (Fan Testing) Experience. Alarm and Lighting Installation. Gaseous suppression system installs and repairs. Why work for us?
