As a result our people get to enjoy working on some of the most exciting projects in the world as Senior Project Manager/ Project Manager - Newcastle.Experience across a broad spectrum of disciplinesAviationWaterTransportEnergy (Transmission and Renewable)Defence (Baseline or NV1 clearance required)Civil infrastructure (earthworks and other services)Job DescriptionMaintain key success criteria established for each project to ensure desirable outcomes.Delivery of projects with minimal impact to existing operations.Project development – identifying scope of works based on client needs including assisting in business case development and securing project funding.Stakeholder coordination – identification of stakeholders, liaison with all parties to capture all relevant issues, inputs and restrictions that may affect project outcomes.Procurement Coordination - including contract drafting, tender preparations and management, bid analysis and contract awards for consultants and contractors.Approvals & Planning – Working with the wider project team to obtain the necessary approvals.Contract Management - Ensuring compliance with contract terms in delivery of the works for consultants and contractors, processing of payments, managing change.Construction management – Control of the construction site management for the safe and compliant delivery of works in conjunction with consultants and safety advisors.Risk and issues management – Ensuring early identification of project risks and applying carefully considered mitigations to minimise occurrence of issues.Quality management – Through coordination of all parties to ensure adherence to expected quality for both the design and construction of the project.Cost and time management – Planning & forecasting project spend and delivery milestones.QualificationsMinimum 5 years’ experience.Experience working in building construction ideal.Awareness of Australian building standards / codes.Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects at various stages of delivery from design through to project close-out.Demonstrated experience managing multi-functional projects both financially and leading a team of project managers.Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced customer centric organisation.Experience in the development and delivery of projects in existing operational environments.Individuals who can be autonomous and can quickly learn the project delivery particulars of the client with minimal supervision.Positive attitude with the ability to contribute to the wider team beyond their assigned projects.Highly proficient communication skills that will allow swift establishment of positive relationships with the client’s staff across numerous departments for each project assigned.Proactive approach to problem solving.Drive to progress the project delivery efficiently and according.Additional InformationTurner & Townsend is an equal opportunity employer.
