Duties include but are not limited to:Proactively forecast and plan detailed construction works in accordance with the Program of WorkReview scope of work ensuring the team is aware of contractual obligations and timelines, driving the construction program to meet the agreed schedule for the regionDetermine construction methodology, processes, plant and equipment needs, sequencing of trades, safety and compliance etc.Contribute to the development of the project quality including technical aspects, risks and contingency plansStakeholder engagement and liaison (internal and external)Regular relevant project reporting (especially related to quality, NCR, defects etc.)Identify cost minimisation strategies and implement measures to reduce labour, plant and equipment, materials and transportation costsSeek opportunities and drive continuous improvementsRequired Skills and ExperienceTertiary qualification in construction / engineering / quality surveyingDiploma in Project Management (preferred)Understanding of project controls and principles in a construction environmentStrategic thinker who anticipates issues and addresses these before they become major problemsSolid skills in the Microsoft suite, CAD and SAPInnovation and ability to identify opportunitiesCurrent drivers licence and construction white cardMust be able to work flexible hours to meet demands and travel inter/intra state when requiredMust be an AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN and be able to attain a DEFENCE SECURITY CLEARANCEAbout VentiaVentia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
