About the Role The Environmental Operations Branch is responsible for the protection, enhancement, and management of council's environmental assets across the Sunshine Coast through the development and delivery of integrated programs. The Capital and Asset Management Officer will lead and support the development and coordination of Council's annual Capital Works Program for the Environmental Operations branch, focusing on coastal and environmental assets including the proactive auditing of Council assets and data capturing. On an average day you will: Guide and support the Environmental Operations Branch in capturing asset audit data and support the integration of this data with Council's asset management software. Work with the leadership team to coordinate the annual review of the 10-year capital works program. Work with asset managers to support the development of the coastal and environmental asset lifecycle principles including condition assessment frameworks. Act as a subject matter expert in Council's asset management software and programs. About you You will have experience in asset management and be proficient in preparing business correspondence, reports, and documents, along with the ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You will hold tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Asset Management, Building and/or Construction Management, Engineering, Planning, or relevant experience. You will possess strong time management skills with a demonstrated ability to develop plans and programs, coordinate actions, and deliver outcomes.
