NuCara Home Medical, Central Iowa's leading independent home medical equipment supplier, is seeking a motivated and results-driven Territory Manager to join our outside sales team for the Waterloo, Coralville, Newton, Marshalltown, and Des Moines areas. Position Overview The Territory Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals, identifying new business opportunities, and driving referral growth. This role involves educating physicians and other referral sources about our products and services, ensuring compliance with insurance documentation requirements, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver exceptional service.
The sales territory for this position will include a portion of Des Moines, Waterloo, Coralville, Newton, and Marshalltown as well as surrounding communities in the state of Iowa. The candidate must live within the specified sales territory.
Key Responsibilities Conduct daily sales calls following a pre-planned route to establish and maintain relationships with referral sources in the healthcare community. Develop and execute a territory business growth plan in collaboration with the Director of Sales & Marketing. Promote NuCara's products and services to healthcare professionals, doctors, hospitals, and clinics. Educate referral sources on insurance documentation requirements to streamline the referral process. Work closely with NuCara staff to process referrals and enhance customer satisfaction. Generate new referrals and meet or exceed sales quotas for the assigned territory. Utilize CRM to document sales activity and track progress. Participate in company meetings, training sessions, and industry events as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements 2+ years of sales experience required - experience calling on hospitals, physicians, therapists, and clinical staff preferred. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred (Business, Marketing, or related field). Knowledge of medical equipment or healthcare sales experience is a plus. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills (verbal, non-verbal, written, and listening). Excellent time management and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel. Experience with Salesforce CRM is preferred.
