About the Role
We have opportunities in Darwin and Alice Springs for Part-time and Casual roles.
As an Independent Living Coach, you will work as part of a team to provide person-centred support to people living with a disability, aligning with the participant's NDIS goals to live a good life. This involves facilitating participants to acquire independent living skills and supporting them to reach their potential in the home environment and community.
Your role will include working with the house team to oversee and support meal preparation, food budgeting, grocery shopping, medication administration, and personal care, as well as transporting participants to and from recreational activities and appointments.
About You
We are seeking someone who is passionate and experienced in supporting people with disabilities, with a strong work ethic and ability to build positive working relationships with participants and team members.
You Will Be Expected To Demonstrate
1. Minimum Certificate III or above in Individual Support
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
3. Flexibility to work various shifts including weekdays, weekends, evenings, nights, sleepovers and public holidays
4. Sound computer skills
5. Strong organisational and time management skills
You will also need to hold (or have the ability to obtain) a current Ochre Card, Criminal History Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid certificate and NT Drivers Licence.
