This base has a 4km causeway that connects the island to the mainland of Rockingham, and the health centre itself offers physiotherapy, dentistry, pharmaceutical, general medical and outpatient services, and provides support to the Submarine and Underwater Medicine Unit.

You are passionate about providing health services and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support delivery of the highest standard of care to patients.You will be an integral member of an experienced multi-disciplinary health care team providing a range of high-quality evidence-based mental health services to patients.
You will undertake intake assessments, risk assessments, crisis intervention, case formulation, and medication management, as well as extra support services as required.
Additionally, your management of crisis presentations, risk assessment and risk management planning will be supported within a multi-disciplinary team and by the Senior Mental Health team for your region.To be successful in this role you'll have:• The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.• Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).• Credentialed with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN); OR minimum qualification of Graduate Diploma Mental Health Nursing; OR undergraduate trained Mental Health Nurse (UK); OR trained and registered as a Psychiatric Nurse / Mental Health Nurse.• Minimum of 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) Post Graduate experience in mental health in a primary health or specialist mental health setting undertaking comprehensive mental health assessment and delivering a range of evidence based 'Focussed Psychological Strategies' as defined under the Medicare Schedule.• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.• Knowledge of relevant State/Territory policies and procedures and national standards governing mental health practice (desirable).• Knowledge of the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2018-2023 (desirable).• Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA with a minimum of 10 hours directly related to mental health.Please note:· You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.· You don't need to be enlisted in the Defence Force to work as a civilian on-base and your job stays here, even if the Defence personnel you care for are deployed.If you would like to find out more before applying, please feel free to contact Tracey Charry 08 8432 2541 or ****** for a confidential chat, we would love to hear from you.As a fast-growing and successful global company, Serco's services span across the areas of justice, migration, defence, space, customer services, health, and urban mobility.In joining us, you'll be part of a highly supportive culture with trusted leaders that will help you achieve your goals.Are you ready to do important work that really matters?
