The primary objective of this position is to ensure the project team's purpose and effectiveness through clear communication of relevant standards, policies and procedures, whilst maintaining positive working relationships with staff at all levels.Plan and control the construction of allocated projects to ensure completion within time and cost constraints to achieve the profit and project objectives.Key Accountabilities Ensure construction works complies with company HSEQ standards and contract specifications Implement critical incident management as per the Emergency Response Management Plan as required Develop, review and manage construction planning and monitor progress of allocated projects to ensure they are on schedule Authorise and oversee construction planning, programming, cost, time, quality, purchasing, contract administration and the activities of subcontractors Liaise with the Project Manager over completion dates for different phases of construction attend site, monitor and liaise with PM's on construction progress, construction programmes and forecasts as required in line with physical financial targets and taking corrective action where required Review contractual claims and where required, formulate and prepare major contractual claims Key Requirements Technical background e.g.trade qualification or engineering degree A minimum of 10 years' management experience within the construction industry Experience working with different clients and stakeholders Construction General Safety Induction card Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and standards, especially with respect to safety To be considered for this role, you MUST have minimum 10 years experience within the construction industry, specifically microtunnelling and shaft construction for water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects.At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all.We actively encourage applications from any background.
