We are the only public pathology service operating in North Tasmania. NTPS aims to deliver a high-quality service to general practitioners, medical specialists and private hospitals, providing patients with no out of pocket expenses for Medicare eligible tests. The team at NTPS comprises a large team involving multi-disciplinary scientists, technicians, non-technical staff and Pathologists.The Role:You will:Assist in the day to day running of the Anatomical Pathology department and undertake duties as directed by the Medical scientist in charge or Pathologists.Apply professional judgement and scientific specialist knowledge towards performance, analysis and troubleshooting of standard diagnostic procedures.Forge a close professional relationship with interdepartmental teams and be able to confidentially communicate information with requestors and clinical personnel seeking information on samples, results or test related information.Details of appointment:Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 28 April 2025.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.Salary: $76,834 - $111,364 per annum.
