About the role:
The Registered Nurse in Special Care Nursery assists the Clinical Coordinator and other relevant staff to organise and coordinate the delivery of high quality care for the neonates and families requiring additional support in our Level 4 Nursery. The Registered Nurse must be able to demonstrate time management skills and work as an active team member.
This position amongst others is responsible for promoting GV Health as a quality regional health service provider ensuring GV Health missions and values are upheld.
Successful candidate will have:
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse
* At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience with neonates
* Self-motivated with high level of communication, organisational and time management skills.
* Experience in Paediatric, Neonatal in a level 2 High Dependency Unit and/or child health nursing
* Advanced newborn resuscitation skills
* Computer literacy at intermediate level for I.T. applications.
* Basic knowledge of patient management and information systems
* Understanding of family centred care/ partnership in care principles and models.
