As we want to continue growing, we hope to find, as soon as possible, for the following position in our subsidiary in Melbourne, Australia:Production/Planner ManagerRole Purpose:As the Production/Planner Manager, you will lead a team of approximately 10 factory staff, ensuring efficient, high-quality production while maintaining the highest safety standards. Reporting to the Director/General Manager, you will play a key role in optimising production processes, meeting delivery targets, and fostering a positive team culture.Major Accountabilities:Oversee day-to-day operations of the production facility, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standardsPlan, schedule, and coordinate production activities to meet customer demands and deadlinesLead, train, and mentor a team of factory staff, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and collaborationManage inventory (Warehouse), materials, and resources to minimize waste and ensure production efficiencyMonitor production metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and productivityUnderstanding and experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing frameworks and mindsetEnsure compliance with Ex d and Ex e manufacturing standards and relevant regulationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality control, and procurement, to ensure seamless operationsLiaise with and report progress of production schedules with stakeholders both internally and externally, inform on production status, potential delays and inventory levelsRole Requirements:Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field (preferred)Must have proven experience as a Production Manager or planner with supervisory/management experience or similar role in a manufacturing environmentExperience using ERP Systems for material requirements planning, demand and capacity planning, warehouse and stockingStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly within the Explosion Protection, Automation industries or similar industries and environmentsFamiliarity with Ex d and Ex e standards and practices is highly desirableAble to understand AutoCAD drawings and demonstrate understanding of engineering drawingsExcellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staffStrong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvementCommitment to workplace safety and quality assuranceThen we would like to meet you.
