About the company In the role of Senior Communications Advisor, you will act as the primary point of contact for several projects and lead and implement communication and engagement activities within the public transport area for North Coast Region.You will be responsible for developing and implementing complex stakeholder engagement strategies that are inclusive and innovative and deliver on our commitment of genuine engagement on our program. You will manage the priorities, workload, and deliverables for public transport projects and ensure critical deadlines and priorities are met. As a senior practitioner, you will support the delivery of timely and high-quality executive correspondence, issues management, stakeholder relationship management, public affairs, and media relations. You will work with diverse and highly engaged communities and stakeholders in the context of transport planning.About the role: Lead, manage and coordinate executive correspondence, community relations, and community engagement for projects within the public transport and rail area.Develop a range of communication and engagement strategies and activities for public transport projects within the North Coast Region.Set and manage the direction for engagement strategies and look for innovative ways to engage different stakeholders.Partner with key internal business units to provide strategic communications advice and solutions to meet project objectives.Develop communication and engagement materials to execute over a range of internal and external channels including social media, website, online engagement platform, public-facing advertising, etc.Identify opportunities for media and develop proactive media strategies and plans including key messages, media statements, and media inquiry responses.Provide on-the-ground support during key communication and engagement events, such as public information sessions.Monitor and identify key reputational issues and/or risks and develop responses/strategies to mitigate risks.Maintain strong relationships and collaborate with project teams to support the successful delivery of communication and engagement services.Ensure appropriate governance frameworks are maintained and adhered to in order to monitor compliance with policy, legislation, regulations, standards, and procedures.Provide support, training, advice, and support to regional staff and consultants to enhance communication skills for delivery projects and initiatives.Skills and experience: Experience in a strategic communication or community engagement role in an environment dealing with major infrastructure projects, particularly in the transport or civil engineering sector, will be highly regarded.Minimum five years' experience in the communication and community engagement field.Proven ability to build strong relationships and manage a diversity of stakeholders.Ability to analyze problems and work collaboratively to deliver mutually agreed solutions.Provide skills in planning, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.Outstanding verbal and written communication and active listening skills.Capacity to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings.A political awareness.How to Apply If you believe you meet the above criteria, please apply, and one of our consultants will be in contact with you.For further information please call our office at (07)3349 3355. #J-18808-Ljbffr
