These roles involve providing engineering expertise, leadership, and support, ensuring technical decisions are safe, practical, and suitable for implementation on board the submarine. If you have a passion for submarine design and sustainment, and thrive in a collaborative environment, these opportunities are for you.These roles are all Full time, Permanent based from Osborne, SA.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical supervision and mentorship to a multi-discipline team of engineers and technical personnel.Manage large, complex projects using Systems Engineering methodologies, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.Utilize advanced engineering toolsets and apply knowledge of submarine design, operation, and sustainment.Prepare and review engineering documentation, including specifications, test procedures, and reports.Implement change and configuration management processes, managing baselines and technical performance measurements.Provide technical advice to internal teams and customers, and negotiate customer requirements.Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, developing new processes and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.Essential skills and experience to be considered for a Specialist level:Minimum 10 years of safety engineering experience within complex organisations.Relevant Engineering Qualifications in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related fields.Demonstrated ability to manage large, multi-dimensional projects and tasks using a Systems Engineering methodology.Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present material to executives and boards.High-level skill in utilizing engineering toolsets and applying advanced knowledge of submarine systems.Experience with change and configuration management, and managing risks and opportunities.Proven ability to mentor and develop less experienced personnel, promoting technical development within the team.Eligible for Australian Department of Defence security clearance and International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) Regulations.This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology.
