About the Role The Senior Manager Risk Committees is responsible for effective management of the governance activities related to all key executive Risk Management Committees; ownership and management of submissions to Board Risk Committee (in collaboration with the Company Secretary), the ownership and management of existing processes/logistics to ensure Committees run efficiently; and additional activities as required by the Head of Risk Governance & Committees, or the Chief Risk Officer.Role Type: Permanent, Full timeRole Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008 What will your day look like? In a typical day or week, this role will:Demonstrate strong leadership in managing a high performing team, delivering accurate and quality governance artefacts in a timely mannerProvide expert advice to senior stakeholders on risk governance related mattersClosely collaborate with senior stakeholders across the whole organisationMake sound and timely decisions and ability to re-priortise work in a fast-paced changing environment in response to identified risksBuild, develop and maintain effective and efficient risk governance frameworks related to Risk Management Committees and Board Risk CommitteeEnsure Committees remain fit for purpose and respond to changing regulatory and internal strategic requirementsOngoing commitment to articulate and communicate business benefits of strong risk governance practicesEnsure the responsibilities of the Board Risk Committee and Risk Management committees (OREC, CMRC) are discharged in accordance with their stated terms of reference/chartersEnsure best practices of governance, including appropriate and timely recording, capturing and communication of decisions at each meetingDevelop and review Risk related papers being presented at Executive and Board Risk CommitteesRespond to requests for information in a timely and effective mannerActively drive continuous improvement initiatives to simplify, standardise and automate processes What will you bring?
