The responsibilities of the role include:Safety leadership of the maintenance team.Conduct SHEQ activities such as FSR audits, JRA Observations, management inspections, hazard reporting, etc.Ensure preventative maintenance routines (PMR) are performed per the PMR register.Populate the weekly maintenance schedule with PMR, planned corrective work and improvements.As custodian of the PWR system, vet the PWR being raised by others accepting and declining in consultation with the factory manager, then managing execution of the PWR's.Plan corrective and improvement work.Procurement of parts, materials and services.Generate PWR's based on tradesperson feedback of issues discovered while completing PMR's.Review preventative maintenance routines.Preparation of work packs.Lead and assist tradespersons in fault finding maintenance issues.Prepare annual maintenance budget.Prepare annual shutdown plans.Monitor mobile equipment performance (Prestart review) and manage routine servicing and breakdown repairs using third party provider.Generate capital justification for maintenance and equipment improvements as required.Mark-up of equipment AutoCAD drawings, and manage drawing modification via 3rd party draftsperson.Experience and Skills We are looking for candidates that possess the following skills and attributes:Mechanical trades background with a minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance planning/scheduling and maintenance supervision in a heavy manufacturing environment; or, a graduate mechanical engineer with a minimum of 1 year supporting maintenance in a heavy manufacturing environment.Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft programs, in particular; Excel, Word, Outlook and Project.Exposure to a CMMS will be an advantage.Mechanical trade or mechanical engineering degree.Comprehension of 1st order maintenance principles.Have a mechanical aptitude.Possess leadership skills to manage efficiency of maintenance team.Ability to prioritize competing tasks, activities and requirements of others.Be cost conscious in all facets of the role.Ability to talk to, influence and motivate people at all levels in the organization from managers to shop floor.Ability to manage a system, write and update procedures and maintenance documents.Ability to coordinate multiple activities.Benefits and Perks Generous remuneration including superannuation.Work anniversary bonus - every 5 years get an extra weeks annual leave + $3000 to spend on a holiday!Generous career development funds to support your career progression.Salary sacrificing options (including novated leases).Death and TPD insurance coverage.Salary continuance insurance.Additional purchased leave options.15 weeks paid parental leave + entire duration on paid/unpaid parental leave, superannuation will be paid.Access to Telehealth Employee Assistance Program (EAP) & employee recognition rewards program.We strongly encourage people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent, people from diverse backgrounds, women, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and non-binary people, veterans, parents, and individuals differently abled to apply.
