What’s the job?
The Learning Facilitator - Work Integrated Learning is responsible for preparing, delivering, and assessing WIL (Work Integrated Learning) activities, content and subjects, developing employability-related initiatives, and preparing students for WIL/placement opportunities, as allocated.
This role will support all of business and hospitality vertical with a focus on students involved in our Hospitality management courses. This role is in place to ensure the learning experience complies with the strategic goals of the organisation; for example: industry immersion, student employability, and preparation for and engagement with authentic experiences.
Day-to-day accountabilities:
Provide strategic and practical input into the development of Work Integrated Learning content.
Implement policies and procedures and develop documentation and resources necessary to manage WIL and employability initiatives in the faculty.
Identify students approaching eligibility for Work Integrated Learning experiences and ensuring they have the attitudes and resources to secure their placement and succeed in them.
Support the Associate Dean / Program Director in the management and delivery of industry placement subjects and associated requirements relating to student industry subjects and placement.
This role will be divided in 2: 60% Teaching and 40% work-integrated learning.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Adelaide.
Who you are:
To be successful in the role, you will love engaging with students and working in the team. In addition, you will have:
A Masters level ideally at a minimum, or equivalent experience.
Experience (and ideally, tertiary qualifications) in education/training and assessment.
Exposure to the community services and/or counselling industry would be highly regarded.
Understanding of pedagogical and/or adult learning principles relevant to the student cohort being taught.
