Child and Adolescent Safety Paediatrician
Position Overview
This role involves providing specialist support for child victims of interpersonal violence.
The Child and Adolescent Safety Paediatrician will work closely with other health staff and external agencies to respond 24/7 for victims of violence, abuse, and neglect.
This position will play an integral part in the expansion of the IVAN crisis response service to rural and remote sites in WNSWLHD.

The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides medical forensic care and treatment, working closely with Police and Department of Communities and Justice.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide specialist support for child victims of interpersonal violence.
2. Work closely with other health staff and external agencies to respond 24/7 for victims of violence, abuse, and neglect.
3. Be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides medical forensic care and treatment.
Requirements
* Medical Practitioner registered or able to be registered in Australia.
* Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Paediatrics and Child Health Division.
* Appropriate knowledge and clinical experience to practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner in child abuse and neglect.
