We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Retail Store Manager to lead and manage our Op Shops at both our Capalaba and Kelvin Grove locations.
You will be an important part of the Drug ARM team, coordinating and coaching volunteers and managing daily operations of our Capalaba and Kelvin Grove Op Shops to raise funds for Drug ARM's Street Outreach Services.

Drug Awareness Rehabilitation and Management (Drug ARM) is a not-for-profit organisation committed to reducing harms associated with alcohol and other drug use. Drug ARM has been a specialist provider of alcohol and other drug services since 1980 and currently operates throughout Queensland, New South Wales, and South Australia.

The work of the Op Shops is important and meaningful as proceeds of all retail operations help to fund services delivered by Drug ARM.
About the role
This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday
Floating role working across Capalaba and Kelvin Grove locations.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
* Establish a roster of volunteers to maintain store operations;
* Connect and build rapport with a team of volunteers;
* Provide ongoing training and supervision to volunteers;
* Contribute to strategies to improve profitability;
* Build effective local relationships with community groups, local businesses, and job network agencies;
* Assist the Retail Area Manager in implementing the local sales and marketing plan;
* Strive for, meet, and exceed sales targets;
* Monitor and report sales in accordance with Drug ARM policies;
* Foster an environment of excellent customer service through role modeling;
* Coordinate the day-to-day operation of the Capalaba store:
o Daily opening and closing;
o Stock management and pricing;
o Visual merchandising;
o Monitor daily banking.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and experience:
* A minimum of 2 years’ retail experience;
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience in people supervision, with experience in volunteer supervision highly regarded;
* Experience leading a team including an ability to motivate others;
* Strong understanding of retail operations, including inventory, pricing, stock control, and visual merchandising;
* Strong understanding of customer service principles;
* Strong interpersonal communication, resolution, and engagement skills;
* Demonstrated sales experience and effective sales techniques;
* Strong organisation and time management skills;
* Strong detail and goal orientation;
* Good understanding of business principles including financial management;
* Experience in risk and quality management system, processes, and training;
* High level of computer literacy including experience using Point of Sale (POS) systems, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, and Microsoft applications;
* Ability to work autonomously and prioritise your own and others' workload.
Salary and benefit details
* Full Time Role - 38 hours
* Salary sacrificing to reduce your taxable income by up to $15,900
* Additional paid Holiday, Birthday, and Study leave

Drug ARM requires that all applicants undergo satisfactory screening prior to commencement, including but not limited to:
