About the role This role will report to the Business Analyst Practice Lead to support the relevant project manager to elicit relevant information to define business requirements, business rules, processes, and assist in project delivery. The role will also support the PMO Lead to build Cbus Business Analysis capability via putting in place standards, processes and templates. The Senior Business Analyst will work with both internal and external stakeholders, as directed by the relevant project manager. It is essential that the Senior Business Analyst demonstrates a commitment to teamwork and the maintenance of a collaborative and supportive work environment, while supporting project deadlines and team rules. This is a 12 month maximum term contract based in Melbourne. Key Accountabilities Ensure adherence to and support the active application of the Business Analysis Framework, inclusive of governance, methods, templates, tools and quality assurance. Work in conjunction with the Project Managers, Business SMEs to elicit requirements using various methods. Ensure that documents support, and clearly represent the identified business needs and are reviewed/signed-off by the relevant parties. In consultation with stakeholders develop Business Impact Assessments associated with proposed business changes and initiatives. Deliver requirement traceability throughout the project lifecycle. Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and delivery partners both internal and external. Support squads with agile delivery ceremonies/cadences. Working with business stakeholders to inform and execute on test cases and scenarios to ensure success criteria is meet as per agreed business requirements. Demonstrate leadership to assist in embedding best practice and working with PMO to build Cbus Business Analysis capability. Supporting the production of Test Strategies, Test Plans, TSRs and the development of test use cases / scenarios. Includes coverage of ETE test cycle (UT, Integration/ETE Testing, Security & Pen Testing, UAT, PVT/BVT). Providing mentoring and onboarding of new Business Analysts and resources into the Enterprise Delivery Team. What we're looking for Demonstrated experience working as a Senior technical BA with regulatory reporting experience as well as being familiar with data and integration. Demonstrated knowledge of the Business Analyst role responsibility across all phases of project life cycle. Excellent analytical and research skills with the ability to collect and synthesize complex business scenarios, rules or data and present it in logical and accessible format. Experience within a customer-focussed team in financial services or related industry highly beneficial. Deep understanding of business analysis principles and methodologies. Demonstrated experience in using business analysis techniques including elicitation, documentation, interviewing techniques, conducting workshops, process mapping, gap analysis, traceability and business scenarios. Demonstrated ability to operate within different project methodology as appropriate for individual programs, projects and initiatives (e.g. Agile, Waterfall etc.) Certified Business Analysis Professional™ (CBAP®) designation or a tertiary qualification in Business, Information Technology or related discipline will be highly regarded.
