Your Opportunity
Are you a passionate leader ready to make a difference? As the Program Manager for our Alcohol & Other Drugs (AOD), Mental Health Youth & Family and Homelessness Programs, you'll guide a dedicated team across Whyalla & Port Augusta in delivering holistic, early intervention services to young people and families. Your leadership will inspire collaboration and drive strong partnerships with stakeholders, ensuring services are responsive to the diverse needs of our community. Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of social workers, youth workers and AOD workers through the demonstration of values-based, servant leadership, to deliver high quality and person-centred outcomes.
- Actively engage with the local community building strong partnerships and networks to ensure programs are responsive to community need and contribute to broader social impact.
- Build and nurture strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders, including service providers, community organisations, businesses, government agencies and funding bodies.
- Prepare and present detailed reports, budgets and performance reviews, meeting both internal and external reporting and contractual requirements.
- Ensure compliance with funding guidelines, legislative requirements and organisational policies and procedures.
- Oversee site operations and conduct audits, ensuring compliance with WHS and Quality Assurance Framework to maintain high service standards.
Requirements for Success
With a background in management in Community Services and/or Mental Health sectors, you will be confident in your values-based leadership and assessment processes. Other requirements include:
- A degree or qualification in Human Services, Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in managing all aspects of staff and team performance including recruitment, staff orientation, supervision, performance reviews, staff disciplinary action, performance development with a focus on staff wellbeing and development.
- Experience in budget and financial management.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of relevant Child Protection and Domestic and Family Violence legislation pertaining to the safety and wellbeing of children and families
- Professional understanding of the issues and needs facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families including Intergenerational Trauma
- Demonstrated ability to form collaborative partnerships and connections with other professionals and organisations
- Strong capability in stakeholder engagement, with experience in navigating partnerships across government and non-government sectors.
- Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, conceptual, and decision-making abilities to address sensitive and high-pressure situations effectively.
