They are seeking an experienced maintenance professional, ideally with a trade background, to elevate their team. Key Responsibilities: This exciting role offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic team of maintenance staff, gardeners, and cleaners while overseeing the smooth operation of the site. As the Site Manager, you’ll play a key role in coordinating daily activities, managing rosters, and ensuring everything runs seamlessly. You’ll also have the chance to get hands-on with some maintenance tasks, making this a perfect blend of leadership and practical work Maintain the school grounds by using equipment such as a ride-on lawn mower, as well as pruning, weeding, planting, and litter disposal. Assist with general maintenance, including tasks like replacing locks, doors, light bulbs, and patching holes. Help with moving equipment or furniture as needed. Overseeing the maintenance, repair, and improvement of the school, working with a team of directly employed staff. Overseeing contract management and performance in line with KPI’s and contractual obligations Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and coordinate emergency response plans. General administration concerning invoicing, compliance, work order requests, organisation of work rosters and prioritisation of works. Managing vendor compliance and all work undertaken complies with statutory obligations and Australian Standards. Contribute to school improvement projects, such as painting and landscaping. About you: Qualified in carpentry or a related field. Proven background in maintenance work. Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams. Committed to fostering a positive team culture. Proactive, resilient, and capable of making decisions under pressure. Active involvement in set-ups and events, leading by example. Strong ability to build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally. Committed to delivering exceptional results and taking pride in your work.
