The Opportunity We are seeking a high performing Project Manager with relevant Defence maritime systems engineering experience to join our dynamic and collaborative D&NS team in Sydney. In this exciting role, you will contribute to the ADF’s operational capability by providing engineering support and project management services to our Defence clients. Key responsibilities of the role include: - Ability to lead, manage and deliver Defence maritime projects; - Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders; - Understand and translate client operational requirements into project deliverables; - Provide sound advice and solutions to dynamic and complex issues; - Ensure compliance with Defence writing standards and documentation requirements. What We’ll Like About You You will have a commitment to work towards solving problems for our clients. Furthermore, you will thrive on challenges and be team-oriented with strong organisational and communication skills and the ability to apply proactive and critical thinking whilst on task. Required capabilities: - Previous project experience within the Defence environment, with an understanding of operational maritime requirements. - Possess relevant qualifications in engineering (electrical, mechanical, systems) or project management, with the ability to gain appropriate industry accreditation. - Due to the nature of our client and projects, it is mandatory that you hold (or will be able to obtain) a current Australian Government security clearance (AGSVA) at NV1 level or higher and be eligible to access information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
