Job Title: Service Management - Asset and Configuration Specialist
This role is provided by Hays. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
You will be a part of the IT Customer Experience Team, playing a pivotal role in delivering best-in-class IT customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan the capture and management of CIs (configuration items) and related information.
* Agree on the scope of configuration management processes and the CIs and related information to be controlled.
* Provide definitive and expert advice in your specialist area.
* Actively maintain recognised expert level knowledge in one or more identifiable specialisms.
* Investigate enterprise data requirements where there is some complexity and ambiguity.
* Plan your own data modelling and design activities, selecting appropriate techniques and the correct level of detail for meeting assigned objectives.
* Oversee the work standards, methods, tools, applications, and processes to make appropriate decisions across Configuration, Asset, and Database Administration.
* Devise and implement master data management processes for specific subsets of data.
* Work closely within the team of five and influence and lead with your specialist knowledge.
About You:
* Previous experience in a similar role within a large, complex organisation.
* Experience in managing a complex plan of work and the ability to prioritise work, negotiate, and influence stakeholders.
* Strong capability in developing, maintaining, and maturing end-to-end asset and configuration management policies and procedures.
* Knowledge of available standards, methods, tools, applications, and processes to make appropriate decisions across Configuration, Asset, and Database Administration.
* Ability to work independently, delivering outcomes within appropriate time, quality, and budget constraints, while allowing time for unplanned assignments.
* Strong customer focus, communicating regularly with all stakeholders, understanding customer's short- and long-term needs.
* Demonstrated ability and knowledge in understanding data relationships mapped to customer and organisational requirements.
* Strong experience and knowledge in database administration.
* Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills, with the ability to develop working relationships with colleagues at various organisational levels.
