About the Role As an Employment Consultant, you will form part of a team that get real joy from helping jobseekers develop and achieve their end goal of gaining further skills and ultimately, sustainable employment. You’ll be there to offer end-to-end support at every stage of the employment journey – and feel part of each jobseeker’s success. Based in Logan, you will manage and develop your own caseload of jobseekers with a disability, assisting them to overcome various personal barriers that have been preventing them from gaining employment, and work with your team and local employers to find innovative ways to support your jobseekers into work. You ensure that your jobseekers fully understand the employment preparation, placement requirements and pathways available, including referral to local health and community services as required, training, resume and interview preparation, and providing coaching and development to support. The role offers an excellent remuneration package with a higher than industry average base salary, plus NFP salary sacrificing options. To be successful in this role, you should have: Experience working within the Employment Services sector, ideally within Disability Employment Services (highly regarded), WFA, Jobactive, TTW, or ParentsNext. Lived or working experience in supporting disadvantaged individuals. End to end case management experience and familiarity with the ESS database. An insight and understanding into the significant barriers facing people living with a disability. The ability to mentor and coach jobseekers through the job search process. Demonstrated qualities of resilience, empathy, integrity, and compassion. A results and outcomes focused approach and the ability to work to KPIs and targets. Excellent time management and organisational ability. Effective written and oral communication skills.
