We are seeking a highly skilled Python Engineer to join our dynamic team in Sydney. Key Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and maintain robust Python-based applications to process and analyze large-scale data efficiently.
2. Build and optimize scalable systems for data ingestion, processing, and storage.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions for high-frequency or data-intensive use cases.
4. Integrate third-party APIs and tools to enhance system functionality.
5. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
6. Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and speed.
7. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues as they arise.
Qualifications and Skills
1. Proven experience in Python development, with a strong focus on handling large data volumes and performance optimization.
2. Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
3. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data pipelines, and big data frameworks.
4. Familiarity with message queues, caching systems, and parallel processing.
5. Strong knowledge of software development best practices, including version control (Git) and CI/CD.
Bonus Skills:
1. Proficiency in C++ for performance-critical components.
2. Background in trading systems, financial markets, or quantitative analysis.
3. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
4. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
