About the Role
Reporting through to the Manager Engineering Assets & Systems, you will ensure the integrity and efficiency of our asset management framework. You will guide the development and implementation of Asset Management Plans and strategies for Council infrastructure, ensuring sustainable service delivery and risk management. This role involves maintaining and innovating asset management systems with a high level of collaboration with internal stakeholders. You will lead a dedicated team, driving excellence and continuous improvement in asset management practices.
Key responsibilities include:
* Develop and maintain the Strategic Asset Management Plan and support the development of underpinning Asset Management Plans.
* Ensure the Asset Register and Geographical Information System are up-to-date and functional.
* Drive innovation in asset management planning to keep the organisation at the forefront of best practices.
* Prepare asset audit schedules and condition rating systems and oversee external contractors and internal staff in the collection of asset data.
* Contribute to the development of the Long-Term Financial Strategy and asset predictive modelling processes.
* Report on asset performance.
Essential Selection Criteria:
* Significant experience in asset management across a diverse range of infrastructure.
* Proven track record in developing Asset Management Plans.
* High-level competency in asset management systems, asset registers, strategic planning & risk management.
* Experience with Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
* Knowledge of asset management related policies.
