Your focus will be on systems-of-systems capabilities leveraging legacy, established and emerging technologies. You will be a thought leader in shaping, collaborating and qualifying differentiated systems harnessing our intimate vendor relationships and global research, development and programs of record. Locally you will sit alongside an esteemed cadre of CTOs, Chief Engineers and Technical Core Capability Leads who have intimate knowledge of their customers and technology domains.You will proactively shape thinking of what and how our customers can meet their AUKUS Pillar II objectives in areas as diverse as undersea capabilities; quantum technologies; artificial intelligence and autonomy; advanced cyber; hypersonic and counter-hypersonic capabilities; electronic warfare; innovation; and information sharing. You will also advocate for improved approaches to strategic service delivery by supporting digital engineering capabilities and contributing to information sharing frameworks.Job DescriptionYou will also have:Exceptional problem-solving capabilities in collaborative environments with a focus on simplification.High-level written and oral communication skills and excellent organisational skills.Prior experience and knowledge in the transformation of large-scale systems-of-systems mission environments is essential.Chartered or Executive Engineer status with Engineers Australia.RAN engineering charge qualification or similar from the RAAF (Squadron Leader AERO or ELECTR minimum) or ARA (Major in Signals or RAEME minimum or ATSOC graduate).A thorough understanding and working knowledge of systems of systems architectures, model based systems engineering, ASDEFCON, data architectures and vendor ecosystems and their strengths, weaknesses and specific points of leverage.The ability to create and maintain architectural documentation (i.e. master plans, roadmaps, architectures, business cases) describing logical pathways and approaches now and into the future for sponsored areas. These should be adaptable and abstracted where appropriate to meet disparate audience interests.Experience with relevant legacy, governance, security, mission, data, funding and/or operational constraints etc.Experience effecting global knowledge transfer in the context of local operations, mission and intelligence contexts.Extensive knowledge of current and trending mission/data/information technologies and approaches.QualificationsAbout you and what you’ll bring:You will have exceptional stakeholder skills and solid experience in systems of systems integration within large and complex organisations. The core of this role is to lead the shaping, qualification and integration of complex solutions and thinking. It is essential you ensure we understand clients’ requirements to design and develop pragmatic end-to-end approaches aligned to their mission objectives.You will be considered a senior thought leader with extensive knowledge of systems of systems integration, digital engineering, mission operations, processes, information management and data architectures. You are familiar working with operations, mission and intelligence systems, equipment interfaces, user interfaces and data sets and their nuances when it comes to solution development.
