Senior Finance Analyst Description JOB DESCRIPTION - Preparation of monthly costing schedules by job and client - Cost allocation of inventory and labor for all jobs in production; - Variance analysis of inventory & recommendations for improvement; - Labor analysis by job of actuals against estimated; - Preparation of month end journals, reporting, analysis and commentary; - Assisting with budget preparation and rolling forecasts; and - Assisting with data entry and transactional activity where required. - Monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliation. - Assisting with the statutory financial audits and to submit the financial report to the authority within the approved statutory timeline. - Assisting with the statutory corporate taxation & other tax related matters, and to submit the tax report to the authority within the approved statutory timeline. - Assisting with the corporate internal audit matter and to complete the audit within the required timeline. - Any other business requests as required by the management to suit business needs changes. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS - CPA and/or Bachelor Degree in Accounting. - Minimum of five (5) years experience within a manufacturing or maintenance setting.Previous working experiences with a multinational corporation would be an advantage. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work at a high level with workshop managers and the sales team in a busy environment with strict deadlines. - Strong attention to detail with a high level of analytical skills. - Proficient in the use of financial management software (MYOB is in use). Proficiency in SAP is also preferred. - Proficient in the use of labor capture, inventory management, purchasing and warehousing software packages (Quantum Control is in use). - Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite. Proficiency in the use of MS Project Professional is highly desirable. - Experience as a cost accountant within a manufacturing or maintenance environment. - Demonstrated experience in all facets of cost analysis in a manufacturing or maintenance setting, detecting issues, effectively communicating cost performance to others in the organization and identifying opportunities for improvement. - Demonstrated experience budgeting for an organization and for individual projects to establish a cost baseline. - Demonstrated experience in the creation and implementation of financial policies, procedures and internal controls. - Strong understanding of time and material capture, analysis and reporting.
