The Role and Hospital
As a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon you will provide high level clinical care to orthopaedic services, managing elective and emergency presentations, attending Specialists’ Clinics, inpatient referrals and patients admitted through the emergency Department.
This role will work collaboratively with one other Orthopaedic Surgeon to provide a wide range of orthopaedic services in conjunction with nursing and allied health staff and fellow surgical specialists. The hospital’s Emergency Department is the regional trauma centre and acts as a referral centre to metropolitan hospitals where required.
Requirements
Applicants should be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or equivalent as an overseas trained specialist who has completed their training in either the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA (ABS Certified) or New Zealand.
