Procurement Manager - Transport Strategy Lead (OCE)
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for procurement and contract management activities covering Australia (and NZ as required). The individual will be positioned in the local organisation in Melbourne or Sydney, reporting to the Head of L&S Procurement: Oceania.

Key Responsibilities
1. Develop Category strategy plans and framework for the respective Products in conjunction with key stakeholders.
2. Developing and / or enhancing product offerings in line with Category strategies.
3. Drive strategic solutions across the Transport Products.
4. Managing complex procurement projects within operations in Australia and New Zealand, to ensure alignment between costs, commercial needs and operational execution – Supporting Customer tenders and running Vendor tenders.
5. Develop and implement processes and tools to ensure cost leadership, compliance and best in class supplier performance.
6. Responsible for contract negotiation, management and compliance.
7. Responsible to drive cost saving initiatives across the Transport Products (PPM)
8. Drive the adoption of e-procurement processes using various tools.
9. Ensure that applicable compliance management processes are in place and being followed prior to vendor onboarding and through the contract term.
10. Accountability for problem solving, analytical work, and driving insights from analytical work related to procurement functions.
11. Performing supplier market analysis and sharing of market intelligence.
12. Working closely daily with Procurement Managers across the Transport portfolios and Product stakeholders across Maersk and with colleagues within Region and Global.
13. Some travel within Oceania must be expected.

We are looking for:
15. Strong procurement experience in supply chain management, logistics or shipping.
16. Awareness of cost drivers will be highly valued.
17. Prior experience within operations or project management, or having led cross functional optimisation or transformation projects will be an advantage.
18. Strong communication & interpersonal skills through which he or she will engage a broad range of colleagues and stakeholders locally, regionally, and globally across a wide range of functions.
