We are seeking a Content Editor who’ll act as quality custodian and copy conductor, orchestrating the efficient and timely production of high-performing SEO content, leveraging the latest in AI tools, and ensuring it is in harmony with business goals and editorial standards. This dynamic, Homebush West based role will see you set the tempo for the creation, editing, and uploading of SEO-friendly content across a range of long- and short-format copy. You’ll manage the content calendar and ensure a smooth and efficient workflow while also helping to maintain the content database.
You will also be responsible for:
1. Content production from go to whoa
Seamlessly manage the production process, ensuring deadlines are met by keeping the team on track and in sync
2. Review and flesh out briefs developed, in conjunction with the SEO Team Lead, to ensure they include all necessary content goals, deadlines, and critical details
3. Craft, edit, and upload SEO-friendly content that resonates with the target audience
4. Conduct research, fact-checking, and proofing to make sure copy is accurate and aligned with SEO best practices
5. Act as guardian of the brand voice
6. Upload content with meticulous attention to accuracy and optimisation
Maintaining content calendar and database
1. Manage the content calendar to ensure timely publication, keeping the content pipeline well-organised
2. Consistently update the content database
Providing feedback and guidance
1. Provide writers with constructive feedback to improve quality of output
2. Educate writers on SEO best practices and content creation techniques, promoting continuous improvement
AI-enhanced content review
1. Utilise prompt engineering to fine-tune AI tools, ensuring they generate content that meets editorial standards and business goals
2. Review AI-assisted copy to ensure it reflects brand voice and meets quality standards
3. Refine AI-generated content for tone, coherence, accuracy, brand characteristics and alignment with content strategies
Priding yourself on your exceptional organisational skills, you will have proven experience managing calendars, databases as well as multiple briefs ensuring flow of production and timely delivery. You will also have:
1. Content writing/editorial experience including copy/sub-editing
2. Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
3. Proven ability to edit and polish content to perfection, ensuring accuracy, clarity, coherence, and impact
4. Expertise in SEO principles and best practices, with a track record of creating content that boosts organic traffic
5. Ability to work effectively with team members and subject matter experts, fostering a culture of collaboration
6. Comfortable using AI tools to enhance content creation, ensuring efficiency and high-quality output
7. Proficiency with content management systems (CMS) and eCommerce platforms
